Dr Ingrid Moerman, ORCA’s project coordinator, will be the keynote speaker at the CNERT: Computer and Networking Experimental Research using Testbeds Workshop, organized in conjunction with IEEE INFOCOM 2019, April 29 – May 2, 2019, Paris, France
Experimentation has played a very important role in advancing computer and networking research. Although analysis and simulation are important tools in studying the behavior of data traffic and analysing new protocols and algorithms, it is essential that new research ideas be validated on real systems. To facilitate researchers, a variety of testbeds have been built in academia, national laboratories and industry. Example testbeds include GENI, PlanetLab, Emulab, ORBIT, BGP-Mux, Amazon, FIRE testbeds, etc. This workshop will bring together researchers and technical experts to share experiences and advance the state of the art in experimental research in areas such as networking, distributed systems and cloud computing.
